Some of the key processes I’d set up when expanding my demand gen team from 1 to multiple people include evaluating and addressing the following questions:
- Documentation. Take inventory of the documentation that currently exists. What gaps are there that need to be filled?
- Tracking and reporting. What reporting and dashboards are currently in place? What tracking can be enhanced? How can you establish smarter reporting?
- Clear swimlanes. The importance of clarity around roles and responsibilities is often understated. With clarity comes accountability and ownership. Empower others to be responsible for their programs and enable them to move faster with accountability.
- Communication. Establish an environment that promotes communication, healthy debates, and transparency.
