How do you define a quantifiable north star metric for a 0-1 product when you start? Is it possible that the goal is finding a product market fit and footing and not necessarily a target metric? If so how do you justify the project goals (Specially in large organizations, unlike startups)

    Yes, PMF can absolutely be the goal early on. And in our experience, forcing a precise north star metric before you have real usage data often leads to optimizing for the wrong thing.
