Who do you rely on as a marketing leader for advice?

Consider: Career Coach, Peers outside company, Peers at company, Others?

It depends what I am solving for.

  1. My network: I have friends who are seasoned marketing professionals that I seek for guidance when necessary.

  2. My LI network: I reach out to industry experts (that's right, LinkedIn is more than a job search platform!) on LinkedIn to have informational conversations.

  3. My company colleagues: I usually have a few "trusted" colleagues that I defer to when solving for a specific situation and/or seeking advice on kicking off an effort.

With that said, in part, I did create YourCareerWings, my career coaching business, to offer guidance to those that are looking for solving specific objectives, marketers or non marketers, as not everyone has someone that they trust and that is experienced. I have engaged career coaches specific to what I'm solving for in the past, not marketing advice.
