    Influence, Influence, Influence Influence product strategy - Customer insights, competitive intel, product requirements, Product requirement docs, Strategy memos. All these are tools to help influence product strategy and hence showcase your contribution. I've seen strong PMM teams successfully influencing product strategy using all of these tools.     You need to network with other teams and find ways to get involved. Choose initiatives that can move the needle for the company but also contribute to your growth as only these type of win-win situations are sustainable long term.     Participate in solving bigger cross-company challenges across the org where your experience can make a difference - for example: pricing & packaging, helping understand churn, digging into win-loss, etc. 

    The goal is to find areas of opportunity where something is broken or not performing and figure out a way to support the effort.
