    Start with governance and purpose. Define exactly what data the AI needs and why, then collect the minimum necessary. Document lawful basis, consent, and retention, and make it easy for customers to access, correct, or delete their data. Build privacy-by-design into every AI feature from the start, not as a bolt-on.
