Why does using AI sometimes feel like cheating? What's the right balance of leaning on genAI vs doing it yourself and using your brain more?

    I think AI sometimes feels like cheating because it is a shortcut. The real question I ask myself is: am I skipping the right things or the wrong things? I like to think of AI as a teammate that’s infinitely patient and always available. But even with the best teammates, I don’t want to outsource my own thinking.     The other comment about it being a shortcut is exactly right. For some reason, we're all wired to think we have to 'put the work in.'
