    For an event, I think it's critical to align on a compelling reason for attendance. Getting specific on the title level and purpose helps clarify what content/format is best. If you have a loose ICP and focus, it's hard to ensure that you're going to cut through and get the person to spend time at your event.     Pre-event: This is when you figure out your theme, staff, activations, and all other details. Once those are ironed out, you need to work with your sales team to run a robust outreach campaign. See if you can get an attendee list from the event; if not, a company-only list can also be helpful to focus efforts.
