    I’ve worked with globally dispersed PMM and Product teams, so I know firsthand how challenging it can be to build influence across time zones and cultures. It’s not easy when you have only 1-2 hours of live overlap each day. That said, I’ve found two key approaches help: Be flexible with time zones when you can.     Building influence across remote teams is a common challenge in the post-pandemic world. Even with RTO (return to office) mandates, larger companies will have people who are not in the same location as you. In those situations, it is important to: Be proactive and suggest a regular cadence for meeting virtually. Create an agenda and make sure to include it in your calendar invite.     I don't think I've ever really struggled with this, but maybe because I bias towards async collaboration.

    1. Don't hold meetings when key stakeholders can't attend. If you need to, break up the group into two sessions. But...

    2. Don't hold meetings at all if you can help it! Write things down and get async input when it's a good time in their timezone.
