How do you find mentors or support in your career for challenges that you may face?

Jeff Rezabek
Workyard Director of Product MarketingAugust 5

Finding mentors to support your career growth is so important. But you need to be willing to put in the work. You can look within your organization to find someone who could mentor you (that's what I did when I was initially moving from a content marketing role into a product marketing role). Or, you can reach out to someone you admire or who is on the path that you currently want to take.

My advice is to have a few different mentors. Try to have a mentor who works for the same company you do and an outside one who can share a fresh perspective.

Either way, you'll need to do the outreach for the initial ask, schedule syncs, and lead the discussion. Most people are willing to help; you just have to reach out.

That said, I'm happy to chat more.
